Ethiopian Orthodox Church To Host Rededication

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is inviting the public to celebrate with the ‘Debre Genet’ Emmanuel on the occasion of the reconsecration and rededication of their cathedral church in St. George’s.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 17 at 11.00am at 16 Old Military Road in St. George’s [next door to East End Primary School].

A spokesperson said, “It is with great pleasure that we are expecting the arrival of His Eminence Archbishop Abune Thaddaeus on Thursday 15th September, 2016. His Archdiocese is that of the Caribbean and Latin America under which Bermuda falls.”

“He will be accompanied by Archmandrite Abba Haileyesus Gesses, the Head Administrator of the Archdiocese along with the General Secretary of the Archdiocese Deacon Anselm Estwick.

“In conjunction with this visit, we also invite you to Divine Liturgical Service on Sunday 18th September, 2016 at ‘Debre Genet’ Emmanuel Cathedral.

“Services are set to begin at 7:30am and both days occasions will be presided over by His Grace Abune Thaddaeus Archbishop. Refreshments following.”
