20 Videos: Hurricane Nicole Passes Bermuda
Hurricane Nicole has passed over the island and is now moving well away from us, and Bermuda has yet again proven its resiliency and ability to withstand major storms, by holding up well against the Category 3 hurricane, which was packing maximum sustained winds near 115 mph [185 km/h].
Less than 24 hours after the closest point of approach, BELCO has already restored power to over 15,000 people; the Causeway has reopened, main roads are mostly clear, and the airport is set to reopen shortly, speaking to the resiliency of Bermuda and its people.
The videos below offer a look at Hurricane Nicole approaching the island, some of the storm as it passed over us, as well as the aftereffects. For our ongoing live updates on Hurricane Nicole click here, and for all coverage of Nicole click here.
