Chef Chiko Set To Offer Free Christmas Meals
Bermudian chef Michiko Campbell — owner of Chiko’s Smokey Rub — will once again give back to the community this holiday season by providing free meals to those in need, with Butterball agreeing to sponsor the event. Butterball is represented on the island by Butterfield & Vallis.
With this year’s event set to target 800 guests, his previous events saw 432 people fed in 2014 and about 600 people fed in 2015. The 2016 edition will feature his famous “Chiko’s Rubs,” along with a DJ and dancers to compliment the festive spirit.
Chef Chiko, who works at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club – which will provide him with the use of its kitchen for the event – will host the occasion at Allbouy’s Point starting at 6.00pm on Friday, December 23, assisted by over 40 volunteers.
Further details will be provided closer to the date.
