Direct Deposit Pension Benefits Available Today
The Department of Social Insurance is advising the public that pension benefits via direct deposit will be available today [Oct 12].
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Social Insurance wishes to advise the public that pension benefits via direct deposit will be available today, October 12th at HSBC at 12 noon and at BNTB at 9am.
“For those receiving pension cheques, every attempt will be made to have them delivered to households this morning.
“However this is not guaranteed due to the weather conditions and timing of the mail delivery at such short notice. Past arrears from the pension increases in the prior month have been included in this month’s payment.
“The Department wishes to thank publicly the Accountant General’s Department and the General Post Office in their collaboration and assistance for beneficiaries to receive their monthly payment earlier this week at such short notice before the oncoming storm on Thursday.
“Payments were originally scheduled to take place on Friday, October 14th.”
