If a weapon was only brandished how did she get injured? Also, if a ” bladed article” was used, what was it? A boat propeller maybe? If it was a knife, say so. Why dance around with the description?

When reports are made to the public, the expectation is that they will be specific rather than vague. The police ask for the public to be as specific as possible when reporting crime, height, weight, colour, sex, left the scene, how, which direction, time of day, words spoken, clothing worn etc… There are times with particular offences when few details can be given out..i.e. the greater good of the child needs to be protected…or how a prisoner made a sucess-ful escape.
