Port Royal Tournament To Honour Alex Madeiros
Port Royal Golf Course is getting set to hold a tournament in honour of Alex Madeiros, who is leaving the course to work in the United States.
The tournament will be held on Sunday, November 27 with a 1.30pm shotgun start; entry costs $75, which includes fees, golf cart, food, and $15 for prizes.
Greg Maybury, Director of Operations at Port Royal, said, ”On behalf of the Trustees, Management and Staff at Port Royal wish Alex and his family all the best in this new journey to work in America. Alex has done an outstanding job for us at Port Royal and brought great enthusiasm to the performance of his duties.”
Kim Swan, Port Royal Teaching Golf Professional added, “Alex will be missed, he brings great energy to the golf environment he works and gives his all as he encourages golfers to play and makes golfers feel welcome at our facility. ”
“Personally, I am very proud of Alex’s achievements in the golf industry, nearly 30 years ago I hired Alex as my Apprentice Golf Pro/Manager at St. George’s Golf Course. ”
“He developed very progressively in the golf industry, became an entrepreneur and is an asset in the Bermuda tourism industry. He now has an opportunity to take his abilities to a larger platform internationally where his talents can be further developed and the opportunity for growth far greater.”
Sad to see Al go. He will be missed.
Best of luck Alex! It was a pleasure meeting you at the NCL tourney back in September. Hope to cross paths with you in the States!
