Motorcyclist Injured In Collision On Parsons Road

[Updated] Emergency services responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and car on Parsons Road this morning [Nov 5] where a Pembroke man was injured and transported to hospital.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 10:55am on Saturday, November 5th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Parsons Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Rambling Lane, involving a motorcycle and a car.

“Details remain unclear at this time. However the motorcyclist, a 29 year old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

“Initial information suggests that he sustained head and leg injuries.

“An update on his condition will be given in due course.

“Traffic is currently being diverted away from the area while the relevant police personnel process the scene.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

Update 5.47pm: The police said, “The 29 year old male motorcyclist from Pembroke injured in this morning’s collision on Parsons Road in Pembroke near the junction with Rambling Lane has been discharged from the hospital after being treated for a concussion and abrasions.

“Once the vehicles involved were removed from the scene around 12:30pm, normal traffic flow resumed in the area.”
