North Shore Collision Results In Overturned Van

[Updated] Emergency services responded to the North Shore Road roundabout at the junction with Palmetto Road where it appears there was a collision involving a van and taxi resulting in the van landing on its side this afternoon [Nov 15].

It is unclear, but it does not appear that anyone was seriously injured. Traffic flow in the area was affected until a tow truck removed the vehicle. Details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 7.38pm: A police spokesperson said, ““Around 4:15pm on Tuesday, November 15th a vehicle crash was reported in the North Shore Road, Barkers Hill Devonshire area.

“Details are limited at this time. However it appears that a van overturned, with initial information suggesting no one was injured.

“Apparently traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene, but normal traffic flow in the area has since resumed.”

      Yes, actually they do. When they are side swiped during a turn it doesn’t take much to flip a top heavy vehicle.

    Looking at the pictures it leads one to believe one of two things.
    The van was in the wrong lane before attempting to carry on to North Shore
    The van was doing way in excess of the speed limit

    Look at the front bumper of the taxi , point of impact vs the position of where the taxi was at roundabout
