Reported Willful Damage & Theft From Vehicles
Police are advising the public “to keep loose change and other valuables out of sight if left in their car” following reports of willful damage to cars and theft.
A police spokesperson said, “Over the past two days, three incidents of willful damage to cars have been reported in the areas of Harbour Road Paget, Harbour Road Warwick and Cavendish Close, Devonshire.
“In all three incidents an unknown culprit broke into the vehicles and searched the interior.
“An iPod was reported stolen from the car parked in Devonshire, while a quantity of loose change was reported stolen from a car parked at Darrell’s Wharf in Warwick.
“It was unclear if anything was stolen from the car affected in Paget.
“The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind members of the public to keep loose change and other valuables out of sight if left in their car overnight or ideally, to remove any items of value before leaving their vehicle unattended.
“Any witnesses to these incidents or persons with relevant information should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
