“Pirates Of Bermuda” Rescheduled To March 12
Due to the weather forecast, the Pirates of Bermuda event has been postponed from this Sunday [March 5] until next Sunday, March 12th.
A spokesperson said, “The decision was made this morning to postpone our Pirates of Bermuda event, scheduled for this Sunday, March 5th, until next Sunday, March 12, due to the weather forecast.
“The following was sent to the 47 hostages, who were prepared to Walk the Plank into the chilly waters of Hamilton Harbour this weekend:
“We made the decision to postpone Pirates of Bermuda until next Sunday [our rain date] due to the weather forecast, which is for a temperature of 58 degrees with winds out of the North West at 25 – 35 knots and showers in the middle of the day!
“Whilst we are all about character development and facing challenges, this is meant to be fun for you as well as the spectators!! Logistically, tents, sound equipment, bouncy castles etc., on the shore side will not fare well in strong winds and rain….”
“The public are invited to join us next Sunday at #1 Car Park in Hamilton from 2 pm until 4:30 pm. There will be food, fun and entertainment for the whole family – bouncy castle and face painting, America’s Cup Endeavour programme “grinder challenge” – and of course, watch the antics on board Spirit of Bermuda as our hostages walk the plank!”
