Men’s Futsal Results: PHC & C-Side Win
A men’s futsal league double header inside the Bermuda College Gymnasium produced 20 goals on the night.
The first match between Flanagan’s Onions II and PHC was a game much closer than the final score. At the half, PHC led 5 to 3 behind a hat trick by Cecoy Robinson. Flanagan’s Vuk Panic scored 2 goals to keep the game competitive.
Although in the second-half PHC scored another 5 goals to Flanagan’s 2 to win the game 10 to 5, Flanagan’s gave PHC a hard time throughout. PHC’s Cecoy Robinson was their MVP scoring 5 goals with Vun Panic the most outstanding for Flanagan’s with 2 goals.
The second game between Flanagan’s Onions I and C-Side was an entertaining one and despite the score line C-Side had difficulty controlling the game. At the half, C-Side led 2 goals to 0. In the second-half, C-Side would add another 2 goals to Flanagan’s 1 to win 4 to 1. Flanagan’s controlled large parts of the game but could not convert their chances.
The next series of games is on Saturday 27 May, 2017 starting at 6 pm at the Bermuda College Gym. The 8 pm game sees undefeated teams PHC and C-Side go head-to-head in a game that could well decide the league title. Admission is free and all are welcome.
