BHA Extends Condolences To Crockwell Family
The Bermuda Hotel Association and the Hotel Employers of Bermuda said they were shocked and saddened by the passing of MP Shawn Crockwell, and extended condolences to Mr Crockwell’s family and friends.
BHA Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Todd stated, “The Chairman, President, Board of Directors and members of the Bermuda Hotel Association, and the Hotel Employers of Bermuda were both shocked and saddened to hear the news of the untimely passing of Member of Parliament, Shawn Crockwell over this past weekend.
“Shawn had worked closely with the association members in his former role as Minister of Tourism and Transport, on a number of key initiatives, and clearly understood and supported the industry through very challenging periods, with the firm, but fair assessment and commitment to ensuring that our position was respected, and where possible supported to ensure stability and future growth of the hotel sector would be achieved in the years to come.
“On behalf of our entire membership, I wish to extend our sincere condolences to Shawn’s parents, siblings, his children, extended family and friends at this very difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace”.
