Casey Truran Win Jumping Class In Slovakia

Bermuda equestrian rider Casey Truran, a recipient of this year’s Bermuda Government Sports Grant picked up a win overseas recently.

Truran has spent three weeks in intensive training with Bermuda’s Patrick Nisbett, and he recently competed in Slovakia.

Riding the bay mare Echarme C, [owned by Veronique Van Rooshroeck] Truran jumped to 1st place in the 1.15m International Jumping Competition presented by Cavalleria Toscana.

The class attracted in excess of 40 entries representing Europe, United Kingdom, Middle East, USA and Canada. Only six riders qualified for the Jump Off round.

Truran and Echarme C incurred no penalties in a time of 41.70 sec thus securing the trophy.

It was a proud moment as the Bermuda Flag was raised and “Hail to Bermuda” was played.

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation sent congratulations to Casey Truran and his Bermuda Coach Patrick Nisbett.
