BPS Confirm Death Of Visitor Stuart Rothfield
The police have confirmed the death of an 80-year-old Stuart Rothfield, who was visiting the island as a passenger onboard the Celebrity Summit cruise ship.
A police spokesperson said, “Police can now confirm the death of 80 Stuart Rothfield a passenger onboard the Celebrity Summit Cruise ship who was apparently snorkelling with a tour group around 11am Wednesday, August 23rd when he was found unresponsive in the water near Dockyard.
“He subsequently was retrieved from the water, given CPR and rushed via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where, he was later pronounced dead.
“The Bermuda Police Service offers our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
