Ministry: Bus Cancellations For Thursday
[Updated] The cancellation of bus routes continue, with the Ministry releasing a list of bus cancellations for this morning, Thursday September 21st, with fifteen bus runs cancelled so far today.
Update 3.45pm: The Ministry has just released the list of bus cancellations for this afternoon. There were 15 runs cancelled this morning, 40 cancelled this afternoon, for a total of 55 cancelled today.
Why hasn’t PLP fixed this yet? All they have to do is buy new buses. Get on with it.
Busses don’t grow on trees….or something like that. Anyway plp problem now. Maybe raise funds at grand atlantic the other elephant in the room.
Or round up the community to fix the buses for free!
In the first year of OBA’s tenure 4 new buses were already paid for but still haven’t arrived 4 years later. Then in 2014 there’s another order where only 3 out of 16 buses arrive but they are too wide for Bermuda’s roads. What about the buses the Belgium man was paid $300,000 for in 2015 that never arrived and the man went MIA? OBA really fixed that bus problem in their 4 years didn’t they Mrs Brady?
BUSES HAVE BEEN ORDERED IF YOU READ/LISTENED TO THE NEWS. Buses were also ordered under the OBA but never arrived .Problem there too.
Hey 12 seat party sit down and shut up. I will tell you when the buses are going to be fixed if you tell me if the oba/UBP is changing the name again to attract voters. That party will never win again. Best advice is for the original BDA party to start back up and depart from all the UBP drinkers.
Lets Keep It REAL!!!!
Mrs. Brady You were most likely mute when this was taking place under the UBP/OBA regime and by your comments you have shown you could care less about the locals who have to catch the bus.
They could have really gotten on with it if millionaires were not given corporate WELFARE/handouts. Also if they did not privatize our airport to foreigners. History has proven privatization is nothing but vulture capitalism dressed up real pretty.
Junior Finance Minister David Burt suggested today that Government should consider privatising some of its services in order to inject “much needed innovation” into the economy.
Sen Burt went on: “It will surprise no one when I say that governments are not known to be the most efficient organisations.
“It is my hope that, as the Government looks to open up the budget process and looks to medium-term planning, that we take a serious look at what government services may be able to be provided by the private sector in a more efficient manner.
“It is my belief that, as this Government considers all of the available options, there may be room for some government services to be privatised.
He claimed the long-term benefit of a policy of deliberate privatisation of government services would be increased efficiency and a reduction in future pressure on public finances.
“The new entities will have a stable income stream that will allow them to expand and reinvest, thereby creating additional employment in our economy” he said.
“The efficiencies created will lead to more economic activity and increased growth.”

Your bitterness towards the AC shows your ignorance almost as much as your failure to grasp what the new hospital wing arrangement is all about .
But you were ok with mortgaging our grandchildren’s future to foreign bankers. And paying foreign consultants $100m a year under the last PLP government. That was all fine.
You have not clue 1 !!!!
That is all.
If our airport didn’t go foreign, all the buses would be working fine.
Fix education and create a better voter.
PLP should go ndependent. Then we can do what we want and buy new buses. Free at last.
