Robinson Sisters Win Medals In South Carolina
Bermudian sisters Raelyn and Reyna Robinson delivered standout performances at the Titans Track Classic V in South Carolina, winning multiple medals at the event.
A spokesperson said, “The Titans Track Classic V was held this past weekend [April 11th] in Inman, SC, which proved to be an exciting and inspiring event for two young athletes. The competition which brought together talented young runners from across the southern region of the U.S., highlighted the incredible performances of two sibling athletes who dominated their respective age categories.
“In the 8U category, Raelyn Robinson delivered an outstanding performance, winning three gold medals in the 100m, 400m, and long jump, and earning a silver in the 200m. Raelyn, who’s currently ranked #4 in the nation [U.S.] for long jump dominated on the track with the impressive four podium finishes and notably, setting a new personal best of 15.94 in the 100m dash.”
Head Coach of Bermuda Pacers Track Club was proud of the results, stating “I want to congratulate Raelyn on a great performance, and I look forward to what she does in her next meet.”
The spokesperson said, “Meanwhile, Raelyn’s younger sister, Reyna Robinson, came along for the ride and participated in the 6U category, securing three silver medals in the 50m, 100m, and 200m, demonstrating determination and consistency for the 6U division.
“Adding to the excitement and level of competition, a team from Jamaica competed at the Southern invitational, alongside the two Bermudian athletes. The Titans Track Club was thoroughly impressed by Bermuda’s talent and looks forward to welcoming them back to future events. The Titans Track Classic continues to be a notable event in the region, nurturing young talent and fostering a love for track and field.
