BIFF Announce Short Films Selected For Festival

February 4, 2018

The Bermuda International Film Festival announced the short films selected to participate in the 2018 Festival, with 42 films set to be featured.

“We are pleased to inform Bermuda and the world the 42 short films being featured in the Oscar Shorts Qualifying Bermuda International Film Festival. We would like to congratulate all the 600+ submissions, however we can only select a few,” BIFF said.

“We are also excited to see that one of the films being featured in this year’s festival, is in the top 5 nominations for the Oscar for 2018. That makes three films in two years, coming out of the Bermuda International Film Festival receiving the Oscar nod!”

“There were also a number of films submitted that we enjoyed, but we not able to qualify. We’ve decided to show them in as a non-competitive aspect of the festival.”

“We’re also excited to announce more than 10 shorts, directed by, produced in, and/or features Bermudians, with many hitting all three check points.”
