FA Challenge Cup Quarter Final Results

PHC Zebras, Southampton Rangers, and Robin Hood all walked away with wins in the recent FA Challenge Cup Quarter Finals football action.

Dandy Town Hornets 0 PHC Zebras 3

At the St. John’s Field, the visiting PHC Zebras defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 3 – 0 to advance to the FA Challenge Cup Semi-Finals.

After a scoreless first half the PHC Zebras took the lead in the 55th minute, this after the Dandy Town Hornets goalkeeper Troy Hall dropped the ball and Tre Ming was on hand to score from the edge of the box. Cecoy Robinson would double the lead when he and Ming played a give and go and he beat Hall to his right, Robinson would convert from the penalty spot in the 85th minute to earn the win.

Southampton Rangers 3 North Village Rams 1 – After Extra Time

The Southampton Rangers made it two First Division teams in the Semi-Final draw after they defeated the North Village Rams 3 – 1 after Extra Time at the Southampton Oval.

Khalil Symonds gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 47th minute, only for Kieshen Bean to equalize for the North Village Rams in the 73rd, the two teams would end in a deadlock thus sending the game into Extra Time.

Isaiah Taylor would give the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 97th minute and he would secure the victory with his second goal of the game in the 100th minute.

St. George’s Colts 1 Robin Hood 2

At the Wellington Oval, Robin Hood came from behind to defeat the St. George’s Colts 2 – 1.

Donavan Thompson gave the St. George’s Colts the lead in the 3rd minute, but Lejuan Simmons equalized for Robin Hood in the 20th minute.

The only goal of the second half came in the 53rd minute and it would prove to be the winner as Jason Titterton scored.
