BHI Welcomes Applicants For Scholarships
The Bermuda Hospitality Institute [BHI] announces the availability of scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year for students interested in/ currently pursuing a degree in the areas of hospitality/ tourism.
The Tomasz Tabor Bermuda Hospitality & Tourism Studies Scholarship was launched four years ago with the aim of providing Bermudian students with a financial boost to complete their studies, so they can go on to excel in their chosen profession in the hospitality industry.
Applications for the annual award, which was created to honor the life of late chef Tomasz Tabor, are open from now until April 30, 2018.
Malika Cartwright, the Executive Director of the BHI, said: “We are honored to partner with the friends and family of Mr. Tabor to offer this fantastic scholarship for the fourth year in a row.
“In the past, recipients have been selected based on not only academic excellence, but also financial need and in some cases the support has meant a world of difference.
“By lifting a burden for our young people, who otherwise might not have known where the money was coming from to finish their studies, we hope they can focus 100 percent on their studies and return to Bermuda with a passion for bettering our hospitality product.”
