Footballers In UK, Sweden & Estonia

The island has footballers in action across Europe, with Reggie Lambe, Dante Leverock and Willie Clemons’ teams in England, Estonia and Sweden playing matches this weekend.

Reggie Lambe in England

A 1 – 1 draw with Reggie Lambe’s Carlisle United was sufficient to clinch promotion for Luton, sparking wild celebrations amongst their 1,404 travelling fans at Brunton Park. Lambe was an unused substitute in the game.

Dante Leverock in Estonia

Dante Leverock and his JK Navra Trans teammate drew 2 – 2 with Tallinna Kalev in Estonia Premier League action.

Tallinna Kalev took the lead in the 39th minute when Kaspar Laur scored, but Dmitry Barkov equalized for JK Navra Trans in the 42nd minute and then three minutes later on the stroke of half time Barkov would score again to send Leverock and his teammates into the break leading 2 – 1. The only goal of the second half came in the 59th minute when Kevin Raabis scored for Tallinna Kalev ending the game at 2 – 2.

Willie Clemons in Sweden

Willie Clemons and his Bodens BK Teammates went down 4 – 1 to Timrå.

Bodens BK took the lead in the 14th minute when Jack Serrant-Green scored from close range following a free kick. Four minutes later Cevin Dotson would equalize for Timrå. Timrå took the lead after 26 minutes as Mehmed Hafizovic broke through on the right, leaving the entire defense trailing in his wake. Ten minutes later, Robin Bergman made it 3-1.

Boden BK came out very strong at the start of the second half and had three sharp chances in the first five minutes, including a shot by Clemons. But instead, Timrå stole through and Hafizovic would score his second goal for the day.
