Man Arrested After Collision On Middle Road
[Updated] At approximately 12.30pm this afternoon [April 27] emergency personnel responded to the Middle Road, Warwick area, following a collision involving a motorcycle and car. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 1.22pm: A police spokesperson said, “Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Middle Road in Warwick at the junction of Belmont Hills at a few minutes after 12pm today [Friday].
“It appears that a 52-year-old man was traveling west on Middle Road in a car when it appears that he collided with a 44-year-old male traveling on a livery cycle.
“As a result the 44-year-old man has been conveyed via ambulance to KEMH with serious leg injuries, while the 52-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
“Presently there are traffic diversions in the area whilst the scene is being processed by the relevant police personnel.”
Update 2.10pm: A police spokesperson said, “Traffic diversions are no longer in effect on Middle Road in Warwick near Belmont Hills. Witnesses to this collision are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 as inquiries continue.”
