Stephen Todd Appointed To BTA Board
Stephen Todd has been appointed to the Bermuda Tourism Authority Board of Directors. His tenure began in December 2017.
Since 2014, Mr Todd has been the chief executive officer of the Bermuda Hotel Association and the Hotel Employers of Bermuda. He fills the hotel sector vacancy on the Board that was created when Paul Telford was elevated to Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Todd said: “I’m very pleased to have been invited to serve as a Bermuda Tourism Authoirty Board Director, as well as to work directly with the enthusiastic team at the BTA, as we collectively strive to build on the ever-improving positive results in overall visitor arrivals year-over-year.
“My focus will continue to be that of positively contributing to overall growth, as we all seek to position Bermuda as a destination of choice for business and leisure visitors.”
Most of Mr. Todd’s career experience is in the financial services sector where he has more than 35 years of experience.
He’s also been a past president of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and the Sandys Rotary Club. His resume includes advisory roles in public policy on issues like immigration, labour and pensions.
Board Chairman Paul Telford said: “The Members of our Board know Stephen well from his long and distinguished career in our community both inside and outside of the tourism industry.
“He has hit the ground running with the Bermuda Tourism Authority Board of Directors and has been a welcomed addition around the table as we plan for a future of tourism growth in Bermuda.”
