Jay III Nominated For International Soca Award

Bermudian recording artist JayLynn Hines, also known as Jay III, has been nominated as part of an international soca competition in the category “Groovy Soca of the Year”, and locals can cast their vote for her online.

The award ceremony for the competition will be held in St. Lucia on July 10.

The competition’s website says, “SAO Soca Awards Ltd. would be presenting its 15th Annual International Soca Awards in St Lucia, on Tuesday 10th, July 2018.

“Celebrating its fifteenth year, St. Lucia was chosen for its climate, a climate that is second to none, when it comes to culture, atmosphere, vibes, frenzy and more importantly, Tourism. Our emphasis is to make the 15th Annual iSA a memorable one, which would go down in the history ledgers of St. Lucia.

“Preceding the Award Ceremony, which will consist of over fifteen categories and performances. There will be a Red Carpet Event and Pre-Show, showcasing Soca, Calypso, Steel Pan, Soca Chutney, Dennery segment music and mas etc. starting at 6:30PM. The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 8:00 PM to commence this spectacular evening of music, beauty, fashion and fine commentary to end at 11:00 PM with a creole style after party.
