Bermuda Netball Summer League Results
The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season resumed at the Bernard Park, with three games on tap.
PHC defeated the Bermuda Under 16 team 18 – 10, Vernicka Symonds led PHC to victory with 11 goals, with Tyra Simmons adding 7 goals, Amaiah Nutterfield scored 6 goals for the Bermuda Under 16 team, while Coriah Simmons and Nisaiah Berkeley both added 2 goals each.
Zinzi Swan was named the PHC MVP, while Berkeley was named the Bermuda Under 16 team MVP, Tahira Hill was the PHC Best Attacker, with Simmons taking the honor for the Bermuda Under 16 team and Tinee Glasford was named the PHC Best Defender, with Berkeley named the Best Defender for the Bermuda Under 16 team.
Kaamilah Nasir scored 19 goals to lead the Bermuda Under 19 team to a 32 – 11 win over the BHB Angels, Nabiilah Nasir added 9 goals and Selah Tuzo scored 4 times, Charlene Bogle-Gomez scored 10 goals for the BHB Angels, with Norette Simmons adding the other.
The Bermuda Under 19 team MVP was Amali Smith, with Bogle-Gomez names the BHB Angels MVP, Kaamilah Nasir was the Bermuda Under 19 team Best Attacker, with Terita Bean claiming the honor for the BHB Angels, Smith was also named the Bermuda Under 19 team Best Defender, while Maxine Butterfield was named the BHB Angels Best Defender.
The BAC Women in Blue defeated the New Kids on the Court 29 – 14, Debra Saltus would lead the BAC Women in Blue with 15 goals, while Darrika Simons added 14 goals, Diara Benjamin scored 14 times for the New Kids on the Court.
Sarafina Woolridge was named the BAC Women in Blue MVP, while Rosie Graham claimed the honor for the New Kids on the Court.
Akeyla Furbert was the BAC Women in Blue Best Attacker, with Benjamin named the New Kids on the Court Best Attacker. The Best Defender for the BAC Women in Blue was Frieda Dill, while Graham claimed the honor for the New Kids on the Court.
