35-Year-Old Man Injured In Devonshire Collision
A 35-year-old Pembroke man was injured and taken to hospital this morning [July 6] following collision in Devonshire.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:30am today [July 6th] police and fellow first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Tee Street in Devonshire.
“It appears that a car was being driven in the eastbound lane of Middle Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred, as the driver of the car attempted to turn on to Tee Street.
“The rider, believed to be a 35-year-old Pembroke man, was hurt and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
“His injuries were not believed to be life threatening but an update on his medical condition is anticipated in due course.
“There were no other injuries reported.
“Both vehicles involved were damaged and there were some traffic delays in the area following the incident.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
