Two People Injured In Industrial Accident
[Updated] There was an industrial accident in St. George’s this morning [Sept 14], with Police, Fire Service and ambulance personnel responding to the scene.
A machine could be seen tipped over on its side, and unofficial information indicates that two people may have been injured. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 10.50am: Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service Staff Officer Sergeant Allan Wilkinson said, “Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received a call via 911 at 8:21am this morning reporting an accident involving construction machinery.
“Upon arrival firefighters noticed a small excavator had overturned while being loaded onto a truck. Two workers were injured in the accident and were transported to KEMH with serious injuries, but not believed to be life threatening.”
