BFRS Extinguish Vehicle Fire At The Quarry

[Updated with video] The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at the Government quarry this morning [Oct 4], with the BFRS confirming that three vehicles were affected, included “one small bus and two construction machines.”

A spokesperson said, “Fire and Rescue Service received a call via 911 at 0929 hrs reporting vehicles on fire at the government quarry. Upon arrival firefighters noticed three vehicles on fire. There was one small bus and two construction machines involved in fire.

“The vehicles were derelict and have not been in use for many years. Initial reports have indicated that metal cutting was taking place in the area prior to the fire, but inquiries are ongoing.”
