Man Arrested After Attempted Robbery
[Updated] There was an attempted robbery at a business in the east end this afternoon [Oct 4] Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines has confirmed, with a man apparently “brandishing a bladed article.”

Update 2.35pm: Police confirm that there was an attempted armed robbery at Game Time, with a man brandishing a bladed article and demanding money, however “staff members wrestled the suspect to the ground but he managed to flee on foot, empty handed” and a man was subsequently arrested.
A police spokesperson said, “Police responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery that took place at 1:30pm at Game Time on Water Street in St. George’s, where a man entered the establishment brandishing a bladed article and demanded money.
“Staff members wrestled the suspect to the ground but he managed to flee on foot, empty handed. There were no reported injuries.
“A 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested in the Turkey Hill, St. George’s area in connection with this incident.
“Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter as inquiries continue.”
