Minister Welcomes Disney On Inaugural Visit
On Saturday [Oct 6], Minister of Transport and Regulatory Affairs Walter Roban welcomed the Disney Magic cruise ship, as the iconic brand made its first ever visit to Bermuda.
The ship took on a Bermuda Branch Pilot at approximately 7.15am off St. David’s and made her way up North Shore to Heritage Wharf in Dockyard where it was welcomed with a water cannon salute by the tug boat and a performance by the Gombeys on the dock.

The Government posted the photos below online, saying, “On Saturday, the Disney Magic cruise ship made its inaugural visit to Bermuda. Minister of Transport and Regulatory Affairs, Walter Roban was pleased to welcome Disney Magic’s Captain Fabian and Captain Mickey during the inaugural plaque and key ceremony.”
The cruise ship is scheduled to make five calls to Bermuda during this cruise season, and according to the 2018 cruise ship schedule, it will be carrying an estimated 2,376 passengers and 945 crew members for each visit.
