86-Year-Old Pedestrian In Stable Condition
A 86-year-old female pedestrian is stable condition on a general ward after she was struck by a car in the City of Hamilton yesterday [Nov 21].
A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:50pm Wednesday, November 21st police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dundonald Street in the City of Hamilton.
“It appears that an 86-year-old Pembroke woman was attempting to cross the road outside Masters Limited when she was struck by a car being driven past the store.
“She was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of her injuries and at last check this morning [November 22nd] was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.
“Apparently the incident did not occur on the marked pedestrian crossing.
“Any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
