Jan – Nov: 2617 Visit Hospital Due To Collisions
Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] road traffic accident statistics for the period from January 1, 2018 to November 30, 2018 show that a total of 2,617 people required care at the Emergency Department due to road traffic accidents during that time period.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] 2018 statistics from 1 January – 30 November show that due to road traffic accidents:
- 2,617 victims required Emergency Department services
- 144 victims were admitted to acute care wards
- 20 victims were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit
- 8 victims 18 or younger were admitted to the hospital
- 8 victims were discharged to overseas medical facilities
- 120 tourists required medical attention
