Hollis To Audition For ‘The Voice’ Next Month
[Written by Don Burgess]
A Bermudian man travels to the US next month to audition for ‘The Voice.’
Nkosi Hollis tweeted that he has “so many emotions bottled up inside” as he is set for to try out for the NBC singing show.
In November he was contacted by one of the programme’s casting directors after she saw his cover of Sam Smith’s Pray, which had over 30,000 views. The next season ‘The Voice’ will only have people who have been invited to audition.
He told Bernews besides “preparing for auditions I’ve also been pretty busy working on my EP.” His first single from the EP Warrior will drop on New Year’s Day.
In describing the show, the NBC website says, “The four-time Emmy Award-winning ‘The Voice’ returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season.
“Returning superstar coaches Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton reclaim their red chairs for Season 15, and Carson Daly returns as host.
“The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the season begins with the Blind Auditions, then the Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Playoffs, and finally, the Live Performance Shows.”
