BWS: ‘Coolest Of The Winter Season So Far’
If you have been thinking its rather cold today, it’s not just you, as according to the Bermuda Weather Service [BWS], an active cold front is moving through our area, bringing temperatures that “are likely to be the coolest of the winter season so far, with highs struggling to reach 60F.”
In an online post yesterday, the Bermuda Weather Service said, “An active cold front moved through our area earlier today, and this will usher in much cooler temperatures over the next day or so. In fact, these temperatures are likely to be the coolest of the winter season so far, with highs struggling to reach 60F/16C tomorrow.”
Today’s forecast says, “Strong winds will near gale force in prone spots for a time early this afternoon and occasional light showers will move across as a trough passes to our north. High pressure will then increase its influence, with easing winds into tomorrow and bringing fair conditions. Unseasonably cool temperatures will begin to recover later tomorrow.”
The BWS said today’s high will be near 14°C/58°F, while the low is near 12°C/54°F, and a Gale Warning is valid for early this afternoon.
