BFRS Respond To Residential Fire In Warwick
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] personnel responded to a reported fire in Warwick this afternoon [Feb 25].
BFRS Staff Officer Sergeant Allan Wilkinson said, “Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received a call via 911 at 3:30pm reporting a structural fire at #18 Crown Lane in Warwick. Upon arrival firefighters noticed heavy smoke coming from apartment #6.
“Firefighters entered the residence and proceeded to ventilate the apartment as the flames were extinguished by a fractured water line. A neighbor initially noticed smoke coming from the apartment as there wasn’t anyone home at the time of the incident. The apartment received extensive smoke and heat damage as a result and the fire is currently under investigation.”
