March 17: Caravan Entertainers Awards Event
Atlantic Publishing House and Leopards Club International will be holding the Caravan Entertainers Awards Luncheon on Sunday, March 17 at 1.30pm at the Leopards Club, with lunch and live entertainment.
A spokesperson said, “Atlantic Publishing House and Leopards Club International have announced the recipients of music awards. The seven awardees have a variety of local and international experience with musicians like Wendell ‘Shine’ Hayward, Professor Keith Caisey, Dennis Fox, Ronnie Lopes and Eugene Joell having performed in the Havana International Jazz Festival.
“Adding to the seven are pianist and singer Wendy Flood and teacher and drummer Nick Swan.
“Dale Butler, CEO of Atlantic Publishing House, indicated that this was a part of their 40th anniversary celebration and was one of the first activities the group had produced when it was conceived. The event is under the distinguished patronage of BEU President Leroy Simmons and will be held Sunday, March 17th at 1.30 p.m at the Leopards Club with lunch and live entertainment.
“Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at the Music Box, Island Kaddy [Reid Street East] and The Leopards Club.”
Mr. Butler said, “It is best to arrive with a ticket because it is highly unlikely there will be any at the door and we will not be able to sell any at that time because we anticipate a sell-out.”
“Part two of these awards will be held June 30 with eight musicians receiving awards.”
