Relay For Life Launches Song Competition
Relay For Life of Bermuda announced the launch of the Bermuda Relay Song Competition.
With a mission is to raise awareness and funds to support access to cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and support provided by Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, the competition seeks to find a unique anthem for the local event which takes place May 17-19, 2019.
“BermudaRelay is thrilled to provide this opportunity for local musicians and songwriters to create a one of a kind song that encompasses the spirit of Relay,” shares Laura-Jane Bell, volunteer Entertainment Chair, Relay For Life of Bermuda.
“Bermuda is fortunate to have an amazing music scene, and we are hoping that there is an individual or group out there that can bring the Celebrate, Remember, Fightback spirit of Relay to music, of course with the Bermudian twist.”
The winning song will be played at the Relay For Life event May 17-18, in front of hundreds of Relay participants and attendees, and become the anthem of Relay For Life of Bermuda for years to come.
The contest is accepting online song submissions, and the final deadline to enter is April 20, 2019. Judges will select the winning entries, and the winner will be announced on May 10, 2019. Visit bermudarelay.com for full details.
