Video: Car Overturned On Harbour Road in Paget
[Updated with video] As of 11.30am this morning [Feb 25] there are traffic diversions in the Harbour Road area in Paget due to a car crashing overboard.
A police spokesperson said, “Please be advised a black car has overturned and is sitting on the bank in the water’s off of Harbour Road in Paget. The occupants are no longer in the car and do not appear to have any visual signs of serious injury. Please be advised there will be traffic diversions in the area whist the scene is being processed.”
Update February 26, 11.50am: A police spokesperson said, “Around 10:55am Monday, February 25th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on Harbour Road in Paget, near the junction with Lovers Lane.
“It appears that the female driver of the car involved crashed through a wall, with the vehicle ending up on its roof along the shoreline of Hamilton harbor.
“The driver – said to be a 38 year old Paget woman – apparently sustained lacerations to her hand and was transported via another car to hospital, treated and later discharged.
“Temporary traffic diversions were in effect while the damaged car was salvaged by crane.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
