Boat & Mooring License Renewal Reminder
The Department of Marine and Ports, Boats and Moorings section, is advising the public that registration for boat and mooring licenses starts on Monday, April 1 and must be completed by Friday, May 31.
A Government spokesperson said, “Please note that renewal notices are no longer mailed, and licenses not renewed as of 31 May will incur a late fee. All moorings and boats must have 2019 decals in place by 1 June.
“If paying for renewals in person, please be advised that payments must be made by 4:30pm on the 31 May, at the Boats and Moorings’ new location, the old Paget Post Office, 108 Middle Road, Paget. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“If paying online, please visit www.marineandports.bm and follow the instructions provided on the website. Please note, the deadline for online license renewal is midnight on Wednesday, May 31.
“If paying by mail, please allow sufficient time for delivery and address to:

- Hamilton, HM AX
- Bermuda
“You can also visit www.marineandports.bm to access Boat and mooring license fees, and view your account information.
“Owners are advised to ensure all information on file with the department is current. To update your information, please call 294-0419 or email boatsandmoorings@gov.bm.
“Please note that ownership transfer of boats and moorings must be done in person with a valid form of identification.”

Just a small ask, but could M&P take some of this year’s licensing fees and fix the downed channel markers along Hogfish and Western Blue Cut and any other channels? One or more of the red lights on Watford Bridge need to be replaced too. Boaters expect service for their fees, you know.
