Saltus Shavees Raise More Than $100,000
Saltus shavees have now raised more than $1.5m for research into childhood cancers over the past 12 years.
Scores of students – as well as some Moms and Dads – today [March 15] braved the razor to raise more than $100,000 bringing the total the school has raised in the 12 years of taking part in St. Baldrick’s to just over $1.5m.
“It’s an unbelievable achievement,” said Head of School Deryn Lavell. “I am extremely proud of everyone who took part and I want to say a huge thank you to all those who volunteered to make this happen.
“It has become established as an annual event at the school and I hope that in some small way, we are helping in the battle against childhood cancers.”
According to the St. Baldrick’s website [here] the school raised $102,000, passing its $100,000 goal.
Well done Saltus!
