Man Injured In Southampton Industrial Accident

A man was injured this morning [April 4] in an industrial accident at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton resulting in him being transported to hospital by ambulance.

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 7am this morning [4-April] first responders attended the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, to a report of an industrial accident.

“It was reported that a 48-yr-old grounds man was operating a tractor style mower, when he placed his hand inside of the machine attempting to remove some debris.

“As a result, several fingers were severed from his left hand. The man was conveyed to KEMH via ambulance and is currently being treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.”
