Whitney To Host Fun Day, Run, Walk On June 1

Whitney Institute Middle School will be celebrating their 135th year of existence with a community fun day and run on June 1, 2019.

A spokesperson said, “Whitney Institute Middle School are commemorating our 135th year of existence, and as part of the celebration we are hosting a community fun day and run on June 1, 2019. We are particularly calling out to Whitney Institute Alumni to participate.

“We are kicking the day off with small sided games featuring school kids: 7-a-side football, fast 5 netball and 3v3 basketball for the schools. There will be fun castles, face-painting and numerous other activities taking place through out the day.

“At 6pm we will commence our jr [1.7 miles] and adult run [2.3]. Please sign up at race day world or at Sportseller. These are very runner friendly distances to encourage everyone to participate.”
