Investigation Continues Into Armed Robberies

Police continue to investigate the two recent armed robberies, saying that “while it cannot be confirmed that the two incidents are linked at this time, the possibility has not been ruled out.”

A police spokesperson said, “Investigators continue to follow all lines of enquiry regarding two recent reported armed robberies – one in the parking lot of the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association on Middle Road in Devonshire around 8:30pm Sunday, June 9th and the other at Grannie’s Kitchen on North Shore Road in Pembroke around 11am Tuesday, June 11th.

“While it cannot be confirmed that the two incidents are linked at this time, the possibility has not been ruled out.

“Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses or members of the public with relevant information regarding either reported armed robbery – particularly anyone who may have been a customer at Grannie’s Kitchen just prior to 11am Tuesday – to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.

“Alternatively, anonymous tips can be shared via the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 as well as their website www.crimestoppers.bm.”
