After a hard fought match, Costa Rica defeated Bermuda by a score of 2 – 1 in their Gold Cup game last night [June 20], with Bermuda’s football team making a highly competitive showing against a team that ranks among the region’s best, having made multiple World Cup appearances.

Nahki Wells scored for Bermuda, converting a penalty to record the island’s second ever Gold Cup goal, and Dale Eve continued his impressive showing, saving multiple goals, including one spectacular save which earned the Bermudian goalkeeper ‘Save of the Game’ accolades from Concacaf.
