    GAS STATION TIRE AIR PUMP.

    FACTS :-
Quality tires are the life blood of all vehicles, bald tire can kill

Different size tires require their own specific air pressure.

You can not determine correct tire pressure by just looking at the tire.

Trying to save gas by over inflating to reduce rolling resistance tire is dangerous.

Having your tires inflated by a Gas Jockey who may not know what tire pressure each vehicle requires can lead to an accident resulting from less tire contact , reduced braking efficiency, also insufficient traction when cornering.

Due to excessive tire pressure an accident is just waiting to happen especially during the hot summer day as the black top road temperatures escalate by over 20 to 30 F degrees .

Tires have been known to explode due heat and excessive tire pressure.
The correct tire pressure is displayed on the drivers side door frame.

As a result of the lack of rain there will be a greater amount of oil on the roads.

The side wall of the tire only displays the max installation pressure, this pressure is used only when the tire installer fits a new tire, the pressure should be then reduced to the stated normal.

Hint :- Never let your gas level go below 1/4 tank , re- fill up to 3/4 tank .
ie :- Don’t burn Gas to carry Gas.

Remove all unnecessary articles from the interior of your vehicle as they can be come projectiles in the event a collision.

    SEAT BELTS EVERY ONE !

    VEHICLE CONTROL.

The ability to effectively and to properly control a vehicle is dependent on your seating position which in todays modern cars come with various adjustments, some come with power seat options ,all relate to comfort, other seating position relate to vehicle control , todays cars also come with adjustable steering wheels and rear view mirrors.

It is to your advantage to set up your vehicle to suit your realistic driving position , even on a new vehicle when you go for a test drive, the seat position will need to be adjusted. Here is where the choice of vehicle is most important.

There are three main criteria that must be accomplished all of which takes time, at the end of your journey you will know if you have got it right.

VISUAL: Seat height, should be set as high as possible to allow the driver to have a commanding view of the surroundings and instrument panel.

STEERING: Seat back , should be set as far forward to allow an up right seating position which will enable the driver to have the required back support with both hands on the steering wheel at 3 & 9 positions at all times using the “give and take” method of steering. The adjustable steering wheel accommodates additional height and distance variables ; never put hands inside the steering wheel perimeter.

BRAKING : Locking Seat Slide ; the most important of all , the seat and seat back should be adjusted in order to allow proper and forceful braking, your knees must be clear must not touch the steering column . This feature is worth testings so you know what you and your vehicle are capable of.

The drivers legs must not be cramped up or at an unrealistically close distance to the brake pedal, taking into consideration some brake pedals may have free play before making contact.

    PLEASE DON’T TAKE CHANCES.
