Bermuda Win Medals In Kung Fu Championships
Members of the Bermuda Sanshou Association competed in the Pan American Kung Fu Championships in San Jose, California, with the team earning five medals.
Garon Wilkinson picked up the Silver Medal competing in the Northern Open Hand Form 40-59 Age Group Division with 8.68 points. and Wilkinson also won the Gold Medal in the Flexible Weapons Division.
Kent Bean Jr. picked up the Silver Medal during the Northern Open Broadsword competition.
The Bermuda Team competing in the Northern Shaolin Duilian finished 2nd overall with 8.73 points.
Kaelin Cox finished 4th in the Southern Open Hand Form Barehand Class with 8.77 points. Cox picked up the Silver Medal in the Long Weapon competition, he also won the Silver Medal in the fighting Set.
Kentaro Bean finished 28th out of 53 competitors competing in the Northern Open Hand Form 12-17 Year Olds with 8.60 points. Bean was 5th in the Long Weapons Division
Kent Bean Jr. competing in the Northern Open Hand Form Open Division finished 10th with 8.66 points.
