Athletes Win World Championships Classes

Three Bermuda martial arts competitors claimed victories while competing in the WFM World Online Championships.

Dominique Brown represented the Zenji Ryu Karate School, Zechariah McIlwain represented the Bermuda Karate Institute, and Massanda Vaughans represented Tabata-Ha Shotokan Karate-Do Bermuda.

Brown won the 12 – 17 Age Group Self Defense Advanced Class and the 12 – 17 Age Group Traditional Forms Class. During the 12 – 17 Age Group Creative Forms Class, she finished second.

Following those finishes, Brown won the 12 – 17 Age Group Traditional Weapons Advance Class, the title in the 12 – 17 Age Group Creative Weapons Advanced Class, and the 12 – 17 Age Group Musical Weapons Advanced Class.

Vaughans won the 12 – 17 Age Group Traditional Forms Intermediate Class and the 12 – 17 Age Group Traditional Weapons Intermediate Class.

McIlwain won the 8 – 11 Age Group Forms Traditional Intermediate Class.
