Witness Appeal: Murder Of Jahkoby Smith

The police are appealing for the public’s assistance with information that can help solve the murder of Jahkoby Smith, who was fatally stabbed two years ago on July 29, 2017, at the West End Sailboat Club in Sandys.

A police spokesperson said, “Today, Monday 29th July 2019, marks the 2nd anniversary of the murder of Jahkoby Smith and detectives are renewing their appeal for information in connection with his callous killing.

“Mr. Smith was fatally stabbed two years ago on Saturday, 29th July 2017 at the West End Sailboat Club in Sandys parish, where the wake for murder victim Jahcari Francis was taking place.

“The stabbing happened around 7:15pm following a melee at the wake. Mr. Smith was given first aid by police until EMTs arrived on the scene. The 21-year-old was then rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

“Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who may have any information – no matter how insignificant it may seem – to contact Detective Sergeant Dean Martin at the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
