Photos: 1st Day Of School At Northlands Primary
As students headed back to school this morning, two of the parents taking their children to their first day at ‘big school’ were Premier David Burt and his wife Kristin Burt, who took their daughter to her first day of school at Northlands Primary.
In addition to taking his own daughter to school, the Premier welcomed all the students and their parents in the school’s courtyard and encouraged the students to do their best in the upcoming year.
Premier Burt said, “I shed a tear this morning for my Princess’ first day of school. I believe in public education and proud to be here at Northlands Primary. I wish the principals, teachers, support staff, parents, guardians and all of Bermuda’s students a wonderful start to the 2019 school year.”
Good example of influential and political representives utilising our public schools.
Oh, Wow!!!
What beautiful, colourful pictures…our PREMIER included.
Hey!! Thanks, Mr. Premier for choosing Northlands Primary as your daughter’s FIRST school!!!
Mr. Premier, thank you for choosing A PUBLIC SCHOOL, your constituency!!
Thank you!!!!
Wow!!!!!
My thoughts exactly – I too thank the Premier for choosing a PUBLIC School!
And mini buses are back out transporting kids to and from school. If that’s the case why did PTB put out an advert to hire 15 bus drivers if we don’t have the lift. Smh. Some things just don’t change.
Get over it, we still dont have enough buses and trash trucks, thanks to America’s Cup.
But for some inexplicable reason you still have your job.
They would’nt have had them if they were privitized.
25-11
So if something that didn’t happen had never happened, it would never have happened. Got it.
I’m sorry… but how is America’s Cup’s fault that we don’t have busses?
Are you sure about that?
Are these mini buses you refer to, doing regular “bus runs” or are they hired van services that have been in place for some time now? Just for clarity here.
