Tennis: Annual ITF Bermuda Open Starts Today
The 15th annual ITF Bermuda Open starts today [Oct 14] at the W.E.R Joel Tennis Stadium.
A spokesperson said, “The tournament runs through this Saturday 19th October when the finals will be played. There are over 40 Juniors playing from many countries around the world, competing for ITF World ranking points.
“For the first time two Bermudians are seeded in the main draw. #4 seed Trey Mallory and #6 seed Tariq Simons have both retrieved a bye in the first round and will await their opponents and compete on Tuesday.
“Trey and Tariq have been training intensely over the past month in preparation for the biggest tournament of the year in Bermuda. Scott Redmond will be in action this afternoon having returned from University in the US.”
