4 Past Winners To Join Bermuda Championship
Four past winners on the PGA Tour lead player commitments for the inaugural Bermuda Championship, joining Bermuda’s own Dwayne Pearman, who has received the tournament’s first sponsor exemption.
A spokesperson said, “With just over three weeks until the island’s first official PGA Tour event debuts, the field begins to shape up. Tournament play takes place from October 31 to November 3 at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton.”

The spokesperson said, “Bill Haas, a six-time PGA Tour winner and 2011 FedExCup champion, represented the United States on three Presidents Cup teams; in 2011, 2013 and 2015.”
Stuart Appleby
“Stuart Appleby has won nine times on the PGA Tour. The Australian was a member of the International Team in the Presidents Cup five times and has made two appearances at the World Cup.
“Russell Knox, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, represented Scotland in the World Cup in 2016 and 2018.”

“Bermuda’s own Dwayne Pearman turned Pro in 1986. The 13-time Bermuda PGA champion and four-time Bermuda PGA Matchplay champion also has two Bermuda Open wins; in 1988 and 2002. Pearman represented Bermuda at three World Cups.”

We are well overdue for an event like this to be held in Bermuda and at Port Royal Golf Course. Well done to Minister DeSilva, PH Horgan, and the PGA Tour.”
The spokesperson said, “Players have until the Friday before tournament week to commit to the event.”
